A Special Message to Parents

As you are probably well aware, children today are being subjected to stress and the pressures of competition at an ever earlier age.  Parents, seeking to give their children a strong start in life, sometimes are led to emphasize academic achievement to the exclusion of almost everything else.  Since ancient times, however, people have known that a sound mind depends on a sound body.  Mens sana in corpore sano, as the ancient Romans said.  The ancient Chinese put forth the scholar warrior as an ideal type.  A vigorous exercise program such as provided by our Young Shaolin Program will help your child overcome the stress of academic pressures, lead to even better academic performance, and strengthen him or her for the long haul.  Starting a vigorous exercise program at an early age will create healthy lifestyle habits that will continue to benefit your child as he or she completes school and begins to face the pressures of career competition.
